Artho Eksteen X Adele van Heerden

For the spring/summer 2025-2026 season, Artho Eksteen collaborated with visual artist Adele Van Heerden.

This collaboration was born from a synchronous meeting of minds and a shared visual sensibility.

Adele Van Heerden is an artist primarily using painting and drawing as conduits for her evolving techniques to create scenescapes between time. Living, working, and swimming in Cape Town, South Africa, Van Heerden’s creative practice is discreetly informed by the phenomenon of the ‘waterbody’. From these abstract, conceptual, and personal vantage points, the artist interrogates the moments in between, particularly the fluidity of identity and restless transformation.
