Pond sumi bell top

This top features a had done Suminagashi design- a form of aqueous surface design. This method originated in Japan as early as the 12th century.

Suminagashi on textiles is like painting on water, transferring the intricate ink patterns onto fabric. It creates flowing, one-of-a-kind designs, requiring careful precision for a beautiful outcome. This process is done entirely by hand and can result in slight variations on the garment (which makes it more unique). 

This print design was executed on a flowy, soft and breathable cotton voile.
